The data model describes how the data remains connected to each other and how the relationship is in between. The data model also defines what kind of database has a logical structure. Data model organizes and stores data.

The data model consists of two parts: logical design and physical design. We can say that those who are models are the cornerstone of the design.

Just as the engineer is preparing his model before making the house, the database designers prepare data models to improve the database design. The main purpose of the data model is to communicate and specify the concept.

The main purpose of the data model is to give an idea that it will look like when the database is completed.
